Asian Paints - Another triangle pattern

For a few days now I have been observing Asian Paints. Its chart is stark different from the rest. Most of the stock followed Nifty which is a deep dip in March followed by upto 50% fibonacci retracement. But Asian Paints it went from 1840 to 1480 in March just like the rest of the market and then it went to 1840 again giving hope that it will sustain only to fall back to 1500. After that instead of scaling back to 1840 it stayed at 1740. This surely means that the supply increases at higher levels but this level comes down each time it goes o demand line. As such this is in consolidation phase. So basically in wait mode. Break from this pattern can either occur on the upside or downside. When it occurs, a 3% upmove or down move will confirm the trend. My assumption is that the stock will move down, given that the bigger trend is down. Also don't think people will paint their houses as this discretionary in nature and there is risk in virus spreading to the household which b...

Hindustan Unilever - Triangle pattern

The recent pandemic and the lockdown  that followed has pushed many people to near bankruptcy. With this in mind, the stock that comes to the mind is the essential services and commodities. Consumers will buy those things that are low ticket consumption and used for everyday use. One such evergreen stock is Hindustan Unilever. After making a recent high during peak lockdown, it has come down to 1954-2100 levels for a consolidation. During this time the health drinks (Boost, Horlicks )have been merged with HUL from GSK. You can read all about in it here =>  gsk-horlicks-to-sell-hul-shares-worth-rs-26000-crore The price during this share sale was down to 1900 and then went into consolidation which formed a triangle as shown in the figure. The breakout happens from 1980 levels. The Upward movement continued and this is confirmed by its 5% rise after that.  Which leads me to think there buying at 2040-2060 is a good place to buy with a view that 1960 leve...
